Large-scale Event Catering
Delicious food for high profile occasions
Our Large-scale Event Catering Service
Delivering exceptional food at scale is one of the hardest challenges in catering and one of our greatest strengths.
Large events often suffer from slow service, generic menus and food that simply does not live up to the occasion. We believe your guests deserve better. Whether you are hosting an awards dinner, a major launch or a landmark occasion, the food should arrive with confidence, flavour and precision so your guests can genuinely enjoy their meal.
Kerra and her team specialise in large-scale catering for 400 guests and more, regularly delivering for high-profile events where expectations are high and there is no margin for error. This is where experience matters. Every detail is carefully planned, from menu design and logistics through to timing, service flow and presentation, ensuring each plate reaches the table as it should.
Our approach combines absolute professionalism with creativity and care. We work tirelessly behind the scenes, remaining calm under pressure, adaptable on the day and focused on delivering food that feels generous, considered and full of flavour, never formulaic or forgettable.
Using outstanding Cornish produce and trusted South West suppliers, we create menus that work beautifully at scale without losing their individuality or freshness. It is food designed to impress large audiences, delivered smoothly, efficiently and with quiet confidence. Individual dietary requirements are factored in so no one feels excluded or marginalised.
When the stakes are high and the guest experience matters, clients choose Kerra Catering for our reliability, creativity and proven ability to deliver exceptional results, whatever the size of the room.

Commonly Asked Questions
1. What kind of large-scale events do you cater for?
We have extensive experience catering for large corporate dinners, civic and ceremonial events, military and institutional occasions, award ceremonies, charity galas and multi-day events. Our menus are always seasonal, sustainable and written specifically for each event, no two occasions are the same.
2. Our venue doesn’t have a kitchen. Can you still cater for us?
Yes, this is something we handle regularly. We can establish a fully equipped field kitchen at almost any location. Whether your event is in a cathedral, a marquee, on a historic estate or in an open space, we have the equipment and experience to deliver exceptional food from a temporary kitchen setup. Just let us know what the site looks like and we’ll plan accordingly.
3. Can you help with more than just the food?
Yes. Depending on your needs, we can work at two levels:
- Tabletop up — we dress and cater from the tablecloth upwards, including table linen, decorations and tableware hire
- Floor up — full event infrastructure, including hiring tables, chairs, and all the logistics that come with it
If you’re not sure what level of support you need, tell us about your event and we’ll talk you through the options.
4. Can you help us plan table layouts and room spacing?
Yes. We’re experienced at working within a wide range of venues and can advise on practical table configurations, flow for service staff and guest movement. It helps to share any floor plans or venue specifications you have and we’ll work with them.
5. Can menus be created specifically for our event?
Always. Every large-scale event we cater for gets a bespoke menu. We take a seasonal and sustainable approach and work with the best local and regional produce available. We’ll factor in your brief, your guests, the nature of the occasion and the style of service to create something fitting.
6. Can you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?
Absolutely. We take dietary requirements seriously and every guest matters to us. We routinely cater for:
- Vegetarian and vegan guests with full, considered menu options, not an afterthought
- Gluten-free and coeliac requirements
- Dairy-free and lactose intolerance
- Nut allergies, including severe/anaphylactic cases
- Halal and Kosher requirements, please discuss at enquiry stage
- Other named allergens covered under the 14 major UK allergens
All our food comes with full allergen information. For larger events and corporate bookings, written allergen documentation is provided as standard. We ask that you share dietary details with us in advance so we can plan carefully, the more notice, the better. Nothing is too much trouble.
