Sometimes, what you want is delicious, beautifully prepared food that you can serve without the need for on-site staffing or service. That’s where our buffets and canapes make the perfect choice for gatherings at home, informal parties and celebrations with the minimum of fuss.

Buffets

Kerra’s Catering can provide you with buffets designed for simplicity. We prepare everything in our kitchen ready to lay out and serve at your own pace. You are welcome to collect from us, or we can deliver within the Helston area. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, garden party or family get-together, this style of catering gives you flexibility while still creating a memorable food experience.

Canapes

We deliver our Canape platters for parties within the Helston area.  Kerra’s Catering will create carefully composed selections delivered ready for guests to help themselves, ideal for drinks parties or more informal occasions.  Our canapes are intended to be enjoyed standing and are elegant, delicious bite-sized portions that everyone will relish.

How it’s presented

Food is delivered in carefully packed craft boxes as standard - practical, sustainable and easy to handle. For clients wanting a more styled presentation, we offer the option of serving on china platters or wooden boards. These can be collected after your event or upgraded as part of a more considered set-up. For deliveries local to Helston, we will often recommend platter styling where it makes operational sense, ensuring the food looks as good as it tastes. We understand that every group is different. All menus can be adapted to suit dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and allergen-specific needs. Our focus is always the same - food that is generous, well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared, whatever the format.

1. What’s included in a delivered buffet?

We prepare and deliver a cold buffet menu, ready for you to lay out and serve. Everything arrives fresh, labelled and presented. Buffets are cold only, our hot buffet and full service offer sits only within our wedding and events catering. What you get is quality food, beautifully prepared, that’s ready to go the moment it arrives.

2. Does it come on serving platters?

Standard delivery is in craft cardboard boxes, practical, presentable and disposable. If you’d prefer your buffet presented on china platters or wooden boards, ask us about our styling upgrades. Reusable items are collected after your event.

3. Do you deliver canapé platters?

Yes. Canapé platters are a popular choice for parties, drinks receptions and pre-dinner gatherings. We prepare and deliver them ready to serve, ideal when you want something impressive but easy to manage yourself. Platters are a set per-item price; get in touch and we’ll put together a quote based on your numbers and occasion.

4. What about linen, plates and styling. Do you provide those?

Our delivered buffets cover the food only, table linen, napkins, plates and styling are yours to arrange. This keeps things flexible and lets you match the presentation to your event. If you want food presented on our platters rather than in boxes, that’s the styling upgrade mentioned above.

5. How much notice do you need?

As much as possible is always appreciated, but we’re used to working to shorter timescales. For larger orders, a minimum of a week’s notice is ideal. For straightforward bookings, get in touch as soon as you know what you need and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

6. Can you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?

Absolutely. We take dietary requirements seriously and every guest matters to us. We routinely cater for:

  • Vegetarian and vegan guests with full, considered menu options, not an afterthought
  • Gluten-free and coeliac requirements
  • Dairy-free and lactose intolerance
  • Nut allergies, including severe/anaphylactic cases
  • Halal and Kosher requirements, please discuss at enquiry stage
  • Other named allergens covered under the 14 major UK allergens

All our food comes with full allergen information. For larger events and corporate bookings, written allergen documentation is provided as standard. We ask that you share dietary details with us in advance so we can plan carefully, the more notice, the better. Nothing is too much trouble.
